About Base Finder
Resort villages cost the most. A town 15 to 30 minutes down the valley often costs half as much and uses the same lifts. Base Finder puts the two side by side, with the extra journey, the lift pass, lessons and the total trip cost.
It works for skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer, across France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria.
Where the numbers come from
Snow history comes from satellite images over the last 10 winters. Drive times are road routes with a margin for mountain roads. Prices, dates and ratings are our estimates, so check them with the seller before you book.
